We had lunch today, and the food was fantastic. Because the restaurant was busy with only two servers, we were told there would be a wait. No problem. We both ordered the Asian food which was fresh and beautifully presented. I love that there is this level of culinary excellence in a tiny mountain town. We will recommend the restaurant return.
They serve spirit-free cocktails (mocktails) that are delicious! The brand they use is called Undone; I never tried that one before (I've had Seedlip, Dos, Free Spirits, and others) and it was really good. As somebody who stopped drinking two years ago I appreciate that places are embracing non-alcoholic drink options beyond just sodas or juices. The bartender did a fantastic job creating a gin lemon drop with Undone. On top of that, the food is super delicious. I didn't expect to get Asian fusion in the middle of Montana and oh boy was it worth it! Highly recommend the whiskey noodles and the Korean fried chicken sandwich.
We had dinner at MontAsia early on Saturday night, and it was packed. Half our group had burgers and half Asian food. My chicken curry was delicious, but then everyone raved about the food! The Ollie Burger my husband had was the best he could remember, which means a lot coming from a Montana man who loves a good burger. The service also was great, much better than in the larger cities in the state. Thank you for a great meal and experience. We will be coming back!
Took a drive up to MontAsia in Fishtail today--I had the Kung Pao--my wife and sister-in-law had the Yak Curry and our friend Mike had the Whiskey Beef Noodles. We all shared a little and everyone thought the food was excellent! Pretty drive from Billings and we will definitely be back!
Small little town of Fishtail has a fantastic restaurant! We've been there twice and each time was amazing. Make the drive to Fishtail you won't be disappointed! Also the market next door is also not to be missed.
